ABOUT ME

Hello everybody !

My name is Benjamin and i'm 41 years old and I'm currently living in Lille. I'm a lecturer in Film Studies at the University of Rennes (France). Before to work as a teacher, I worked in different types of office management for film in cinema and television. It was a very interested experience to explore different parts of the film-making. I collaborate with some institutions like the Museum of Modern Art Georges Pompidou in Paris.

Why Couchsurfing ?

Travelling is my own and unique religious. I like the couchsurfing project. If i like to meet some people with my backpackers in different hostels, I think that couchsurfing is an another great possibility. It's an unique opportunity to take people in a closest situation and to see the real life (not a fucking simple tourist point of view !!!).

What about me ?

I'm a very active man with some activities: teacher, researcher, writer for film and movie magazines. I'm lucky with my work activities because I have some possibilities to explore new places : conference in USA, Italy, Portugal...

I'm doing some sports (swimming, gym, tennis, footing) and i did the others (judo, archery). I like watching movies (old and new), like stage (performance), exhibitions, video installation, photography, walking in the city that i know nothing and lost me, restaurant with friends, bar, nightlife. I like outdoors activities : trekking in mountain/glacier, wander, park adventure, skiing, rafting...

TASTE

Cinema, especially Gus Van Sant/Andy Warhol movies. Experimental movies like Jonas Mekas, Stan Brakhage, Martin Arnold, Jordan Belson, Maya Deren, and everything in relation to Visuals Arts. I'm a Rock'n' Roll and Soul/Funk music adept. The Rolling Stones is definitely one of my favorite band ! I'm also in love with Emmylou Harris (best woman country singer ever).
