About Me

ABOUT ME

i do not use capital letters when writing casually. just fyi.

if its two things i'm really into is music and the cultures around them. investigating and researching sub-cultures is fascinating to me. currently, i'm attending graduate school and writing a thesis on performing disc jockeys and their attitudes toward dj software and vinyl emulation programs. in addition to being a caffinated student, i also make make beats and dj. i don't make hearts with my hands or wave them to the crowd, i'll leave that to dj's who aren't actually mixing. trip hop, downtempo, underground hip hop, techno, broken beat, are just a few genres that i enjoy playing out to the public. anything soulful and funky gets me going.

attitude wise i'm pretty chill. a sponge of experiences is one way to describe me. but looking deeper you'll find someone who treats people as he wants people to treat him. i enjoy being around people who judge people by their character. that's probably the best place to start. to me people are people from all walks of life that make up our own personal stories, which is one thing i try to consider while meeting new people.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

i'm on this site because i would like to experience culture from people first hand and there is no better way to have that experience than sleeping on someone's couch. meeting people, sharing stories, and having beautiful experiences is something i enjoy. to me it makes the world a better place.

Interests

i'd have to say my main interest lies within music. not only am i studying subjects on music, but i am also creating my own compositions and presenting music as a dj.

i have a fascination with sub-cultures that co-inside with music genres, not just sub-cultures from the u.s. but from sub-cultures from all over the world.

Teach, Learn, Share

As a dj, I can teach you how to scratch and trick mix. As a sociologist I can teach you about all that is soc.

I have no learning expectations, but I wouldn't want to leave the place I travel to without learning something. What ever comes my way I'll absorb it.

What I would and can share is a good time and good company.

Countries I’ve Visited

England, Philippines
