About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Travel as much as possible, while finishing my Master degree in Translation
ABOUT ME
I am a French guy who loves discovering new countries, cultures and languages. I want to spend the next two years travelling around !
PHILOSOPHY
I try to live as simply as I can. I have no interest in luxury or having lots of things, my most valuable possessions are my memories. I like the idea of not doing to people what I wouldn't want them to do to me.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I use couchsurfing mostly when I'm travelling. I've hosted only once, unfortunately, when I had an appartment, because I was not living on my own.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
My first host was a Maori guy back in Sydney, and he basically saved my life, because if it weren't for him I'd have slept on the street ! Then I stayed at a Korean guy's place in Sapporo, and finally I participated in a couchsurfing event that took place all around Japan with many hosts. I have also stayed with people in Norway and Germany, and had a great time !
Interests
I'm a huge cinema addict, I go there very often, and the same goes for series of course. I also listen to tons of music, although I am no musician myself.
I love learning new languages, and I intend to be a professional translator, to create subtitles for the cinema.
I am also a big craft-beer lover.
There are tons of things we could be speaking about for hours !
- beer
- movies
- traveling
- music
- languages
Music, Movies, and Books
My favourite movie must be Pulp Fiction, but my favourite director is definitely Wes Anderson.
My favourite music band of all time must be Led Zeppelin, but I also love the Red Hot Chili Peppers, Sweet Smoke, Ten Years After, Grateful Dead, Jimi Hendrix, Judas Priest, Iron Maiden, Slayer, David Bowie, Pink Floyd, Frank Zappa, Santana, Gorillaz, Metallica, Sly and the Family Stone, Radiohead... and many others
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I milked a cow in Australia, got lost in the Death Forest in Japan, walked on a glacier in Iceland, went dogsledding in Lapland, saw some beautiful Northern Lights...
Teach, Learn, Share
I love to teach the French language to people who are interested, I love to learn new languages, but I definitely love above all else to share a good meal and a good beer with nice people from around the world
Countries I’ve Visited
Australia, Belgium, Czech Republic, Denmark, England, France, Germany, Iceland, Ireland, Japan, Luxembourg, Norway, Scotland, Spain, Sweden, United States
Countries I’ve Lived In
