New to Couchsurfing and excited to meet and connect with new, interesting, and diverse people! I recently quit my job in nonprofit civic leadership and took a sabbatical from the theatre company I founded and have run for the last six years to spend five months traveling around the world! This trip will run through the end of January, and then I will head back to Chicago to figure out what my next adventure will be. My life aspirations are to cultivate empathy, build community, nurture connection, and nudge the world in a better direction.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I love meeting people, getting off the beaten track, and immersing myself in the local culture when I travel, and couchsurfing seems a great way to do all of that while also staying on a tight budget during my extend trip.
