About Me

It's always a challenge to describe yourself online, I think! But I'll try:

I'm an open, and laid back person. I identify as queer, gender-nonconforming. So, as a black, queer person, being anti-racist, queer affirming, and intersectional are very important for me!

I'm trying to define myself less by my profession (that capitalist indoctrination is strong) and more by the things I care about. I love cooking and learning new recipes and cuisines from people around me. I can watch cooking shows nearly all day if I have the time! I'm really good at classic Southern comfort food and Soul Food. Basically, being the youngest of dozens of cousins meant that I often spent the most time with my Grandma and Great-Grandma in the kitchen and I carries those memories and recipes everywhere I go.

I also love to laugh, so comedy is a new interest I've been exploring. I love live standup shows, improv comedy, and sketch comedy! I'm not brave enough (yet) to try to perform myself. But if there's comedy show around, I wanna see it! I also enjoy watching Karaoke and Drag shows!!!

TV and Film are also hobbies for me. I typically wind down the day by watching a movie. My favorite genres are Sci-Fi, Thrillers, Comedies, and Horror.
