Hello world,

Couchsurfing has given me so many amazing experiences including in Europe between July and October 2023 and then South America in January 2024.

In no particular order, I play Australian Rules Football (AFL) [if you do not know what this is, please let me enlighten you on a sport you have probably never heard of that will blow your mind], regularly complete parkruns and also work in the legal industry.

I am extraverted-introvert. I love socialising and meeting new people, but I also love time to myself, to get lost in countries, to stumble into new towns and cities or discover new books and music.

I have lived across Australia and Europe, having studied and worked in Brisbane, Melbourne, Paris and Vienna.

I occasionally will host guests at my place in Melbourne

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I am looking to explore with likeminded people, who can show me their secret treasures, be that nature, national parks, restaurants or bars and clubs, all beyond the major tourist attractions.

I have done most of the touristy things before, now I have decided to spend time doing the quiet secrets, and the paths less travelled, but no less incredible.

I am looking to get to know locals and share wisdom and knowledge and ultimately have an incredible time when I am in Europe. In return, I can provide my own wisdom from my numerous previous trips to Europe and what you should do when you (definitely do) come to Australia.

As a host, I hope to share and model the amazing experiences my hosts gave me across the world. A stay at my place will likely involve sharing a meal together, going to the football (if you are interested) and also discovering the best of Melbourne's bars/clubs on the weekend.

Music, Movies, and Books

Favourite artists: Stromae and Angèle (cannot decide). I currently have Multitude (Stromae), 95 (Angele) and LDVM (Gims) all rotating on my record player.
Favourite Movies: Harry Potter series or Dead Poet Society
Books: Persepolis – Marjane Satrapi (I had to read this in French class, and as my first BD it was, simply, incredible).

I am very proud of my two incredible Apple Music playlists. The first contains a list of all my favourite songs and is currently 34 hours long (long enough for the journey from Australia to Europe). The second contains a list of my favourite non-English and non-French songs and is currently 9 hours long.

I very much welcome suggestions to these playlists.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I think my favourite memory is booking flights to Bulgaria on a Thursday for 12 € return with Wizz from Paris, as well as accommodation for 15 €. I arrived in a city that I had never been before, knew no one and had a ball as I discovered the local favourites (I maintain that Banitsa is an incredibly delicacy, worth visiting the city for again), national parks and of course, the beach in Varna.
