I'm a 25-year old guy from Bruges Belgium who fancies new experiences and a good laugh! I'm a rather open-minded, very sociable, enthusiastic & respectful person, eager to learn and able to persist. I like to cook (not saying I'm any good at it though), love to work out , love beach culture, and play drums. I prefer the bar talk over the drunk dance though will never reject either (although I don't drink often). I have a bachelors degree as a secondary school teacher (English & morals) as well as a masters in English linguistics & philosophy (University of Ghent). I can be serious if need be, but am generally a joker.

So I'm on here because I would love to explore Australia. A friend of mine is doing 'au pair' there from mid July onwards in Melbourne, and has asked me to join her. Since I've talked about travelling down under for some time now, don't have a girlfriend, don't have job, don't have any recurring expenses at the moment, it seems like the perfect moment to just do it. The flight however, is rather expensive, so upon arriving I would like to find a low cost place to stay for the first 3 weeks (yes, I know this is long) so I can get a job there & look for my own place to rent! I would be more than happy to help out with anything in return for basic accommodation. THANKS IN ADVANCE!

My main hobby used to be playing drums. My brother plays the guitar & we had this metalcore band, recorded an album etc. That's all in the past though I still LOVE all that. Currently I'm in to (into?) fitness & appropriate dieting. I go to the gym 5/7 and make sure I get my protein & healthy fats, as well as necessary carbs. It started out as a way to deal with stress, then I started taking it more & more seriously and yeah I'm sort of addicted to challenging myself now. I'm not on steroids, I don't care if others are.

I listen to all genres of music but my faves are metal & hiphop. Since I play drums however, I enjoy anything that's challenging to play: jazz, funk,... as long as the beat is somewhat good I'll like it. I don't read, but when I do it's philosophy rather than novels. Movies: anything unpredictable / over the top is fine for me, though the more it challenges my mind the better I'll like it. It's a difficult question though, 'what makes a good movie?' idk.

Hm this is very hard since I've experienced quite some stuff but: I once chased away burglars from my house with a baseball bat, 2012, never saw them again! I'll tell you the story when we meet.
