About Me

I'm a 24 year old, Hong Kong born, Australian with a curly moustache. That's pretty much the first thing everyone notices. I've been travelling for the past 11 months across South-East Asia with my Brazilian partner, Sarah. A fairly sarcastic yet relaxed guy, I guess? No one likes writing these things anyway, just have the standard of "manners maketh the man", without that there's no respect. Oh, also I smoke cigarettes, so... if that's a problem, no worries.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Cliche but I want to meet people and get a proper feel of cities, share stories/cuisines/skills with everyone. So please, feel free to message me if you want to host me, don't be shy now!

Music, Movies, and Books

For films, anything Wes Anderson touches is fantastic. High Fidelity by Nick Hornby (I know, Nick Hornby, but it's a great story) is my favourite book. Music, you'll find me a bit of a music snob since I studied and breathe it - I'll listen to anything from Django Reinhardt to Bob Dylan to Black Moth Super Rainbow to CW Stoneking to Frank Ocean to Tom Waits, you get the gist.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

-Uh, I ventured the Annapurna Circuit in Nepal, walked up and down steep muddy mountains, 75kms in the first three days. Although we had to forfeit the Circuit due to Altitude Sickness past 4000m high.

- In the bar, I revamped a classic cocktail; the Espresso Martini. Once revamped it became a hit and made the record of selling $1000 worth of Espresso Martinis in one evening (just myself, no other bartenders). Guess that was a proud moment!

- Competed as the first foreign contestant in Jaisalmer's (India) yearly, "Mr. Desert Festival".

- Survived a crazy blizzard in Chitkul (India) that nearly had us stuck there for days.

Teach, Learn, Share

Along my travels I love the exchange of skill-sets between backpackers. Since I have been playing guitar for 12 years, I can offer any lessons or help you may need. Even simple piano beginners lessons are possible! If you get an instrument near me, I will try it!

I want to learn how to code and also to speak Portuguese fluently - if any of you out there possess these skills then I'd be extremely grateful!

What I Can Share with Hosts

A glass of horrible white wine and self-deprecating humour.
A cup of black coffee and talks of Kafka-esque defeatism.
I'm kidding, I'm ok.
