About Me
Im new to the whole world travels thing and I am excited about it!
I travel with a guitar and a song most of the time. Music is a very important part of my life. I love to share it with the people around me. I am working on my French but my Spanish is much stronger.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
People are the best way to learn about anything. I love interacting and building relationships even for just a few seconds with a stranger before we part ways. I think Couchsurfing is a great way to make friends and see new places in an original way and make real lifelong friends to share experiences(and couches) with for the rest of my life.
I want to see as much of the world as I can with fun smart artistic people that I am yet to meet. Is there a better place than here to do such a thing?
Interests
I love the acts of learning and teaching. I find it to be the basis of being human. I like a lot of skills based activities like origami, dance l or slack-lining and gymnastics(not that I can do gymnastics, yet) things that engage the connection of body and mind. I like when there's a technique involved.
I love making craft cocktails to share with friends.
I like comic books and the movies they inspire. And cartoons are a guilty pleasure of mine.
Cooking may be one of my favorite pass-times and I cant say no to a good conversation over some drinks
I am fascinated by language although I am pretty much mono-lingual aside from some survival spanish and a few days of practice with French.

Music, Movies, and Books
Most people respond with an eye-roll or groan, but I love Phish and the Grateful Dead. To me they are a perfect mix of classic rock and folk music with just enough jazz thrown in to make for some epic elongated jams.
I also love (in no particular order): the meters, the band, Jimi hendrix, bruno mars, frank Sinatra, Michael Jackson, diplo, any music that can get a room full of strangers singing and/or dancing together.
Im not big into books. I dont know why, but its just not part of my downtime vocabulary to read. I tend to put on a movie or play my guitar or listen to some music. When I find myself with time on my hands
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I ran my own guitar lessons business out of my car when I was 17. Self-employment is a dream come true at that age.
Teach, Learn, Share
I want to learn French and Spanish. At least enough to hold a remedial conversation with a real person (I am living in a dearth of french-fluent associates)
If English is not your first language I would be happy to guide you along your way and learn some of your native tongue as well. I am a very patient person if you can be patient with me.
I can and love to teach guitar and music to people. I think it is the highest form of communication and we don't have to share a language to do it. I think everyone should have a chance to play their favorite song!
What I Can Share with Hosts
I love to lead sing-a-longs and write music with people. I adore cooking almost as much as I do music. They both activate the same creative part of the brain.
I am up for just about anything and I would love to learn your favorite tune or collaborate on a song you wrote, help make dinner, wake up early and walk dogs or weed the garden. I am happy to help out cleaning or any other kind of sprucing you like to do in your home.
Mostly I'm just a happy person. I have no wealth of worldly experiences or exotic sensibilities. But I want to change that and discover the world and myself in the process
