I play oboe, sing, love to play games, drink and be merry and upend the status quo by growing the Green Party in Maine, where the party has achieved commendable success.

The Australian band, The Church, is my favorite rock group, closely followed by the likes of Pink Floyd, Grateful Dead, Black Sabbath, Dead Kennedys, and plenty of classic rock, punk, metal, grunge and other rock acts. I also like classical music (play the oboe), jazz and any music that is 'good.'
Favorite books: On the Road and Dharma Bums by Jack Kerouac, Be Here Now by Ram Dass, Siddhartha by Herman Hesse.

1. Took my high school marching band as band director to presidential inauguration.
2. Played oboe with two members of Grateful Dead, John Popper of Blues Traveler and Chris Baron of Spin Doctors.
3. Was first Green elected in Portland, Maine --elected to school board-- and 20 Greens have been elected in Portland after my election.
4. Appeared as guest on Bill O'Reilly show.
5. Was in USA Today as model/actor.
