Overview
About Me
I'm Benjamin and I´m a student based in Vienna, Austria. I just finished my Masters degree, and that seems to be the perfect time to take my backpack and see the world!
To be honest, by now I hate sightseeing. When travelling, I'm looking for adventure, learning about history and getting to know new cultures, lifestyles and world views. I like to be out in nature, listening to and making music and having a glass of wine or beer to a good conversation.
Generally, I´m a rather calm and open-minded person, who´s happy to meet people and learn new stuff! (:
I got a travel blog for my current journey, so if you're interested, feel free to take a peek!

Music, Movies, and Books
Music: Really a lot, generally less of the electric and pop stuff
If I want it loud: death/thrash/folk/nu metal, drum'n'bass,...
Anyday, anytime: rock, grunge, punk, alternative, 80s rock/pop, ska, rap, hip hop,...
If I want to chill/study: reggae, classical music
Movies: Captain Fantastic, The Life of Walter Mitty, Snatch, Lucky Number Slevin, Don´t Look Up, Lord of the Rings, Harry Potter, The Mummy (parts 1 and 2), Evolution (only the German version, english one kinda sucks), Inglorious Basterds and too many others
Books: Honestly, not much of a book person
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Drove down the death road in Bolivia on bike
Teach, Learn, Share
Teach: German, Chemistry, Guitar, American Football rules (probably the hardest of these four)
Learn: Literally happy to learn anything, especially languages and cooking skills to widen my repertoire :)
Share: stories ;)
What I Can Share with Hosts
As a guest I like to hang out and obviously do some basic household chores to help out (cooking, cleaning, the occasional repair task). I like to get to know my hosts and their views, occupations and lifestyles...and of course share mine as well (:
Also, iff anyone has a group that is interested and has the time, I can host a little round of pen and paper if you like!
Countries I’ve Visited
