Ahoy there!
My name is Ben, a 24 year old Australian who has just began his adventure of a life time.
I have landed in Oslo at the start of march with the dream of seeing what this beautiful country has to offer. I have successfully received my working visa and plan to move around whilst meeting new people and if possible make a few dollars along the way.
I have began this trip because back in Australia I have been involved with many jobs ranging from hospitality, trades, retail and more but still haven't been able to find what I am truly passionate about and want to do for the rest of my life. Leaving Australia and putting myself here in Norway is a massive test for myself and hopefully I am able to find the answers I am looking for.
I am a very adventurous and confident young man with an amazing work ethic and more outgoing than most. I am travelling alone and wish to make many new contacts and life long friends as i meet the local people of Norway and eventually the rest of Europe. I love meeting new people and hearing all about their life stories. One day I hope to be a very wise and cultured man and this is where it all begins.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

As I start my travels I would love to be able to meet new people no matter what city I find myself in. Couchsurfing is a community of people who love to help one another and thats exactly what I am all about. In a world where everything can be so expensive its very humbling to know that people are out there willing to offer shelter to those in need so they can further their travel experiences.

Music, Movies, and Books

I love the movie Coach Carter but being able to sum up a favourite is the hardest question.
One of my favourite artists is Wu Tang but i also love the Red Hot Chilli Peppers. I have a very broad range of music that I enjoy though.
I unfortunately haven't done enough reading in my time on this planet though I have read "Scar tissue" and have also just began reading 'The Alchemist"

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Back when I was living in Australia I was involved with the CFA which is volunteer fire fighting. I have been involved in some rescues and put out a fire that saved a families home a few years ago.

I am slowly but surely growing into a man with a wealth of knowledge on a wide range of topics. I love to converse and share ideas on random topics as well as important ones. People who love to talk about new and different ideas are people I get along with the best as my mind is always racing.
Sharing information is one of the worlds best interactions and anybody who has valuable information I would love to hang out with and learn as much as possible.
