I am 31 and a fairly easygoing guy. I enjoy socializing but also enjoy going on adventures on my own and meeting new people. I make wherever I am at home. I've been teaching for 7 years and love it. I also do a lot of work with different educational organizations, nonprofits and international relations. I am religious and love learning about other religions and cultures. All people, regardless of beliefs, deserve equal respect and kindness.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Trying to do the most with the smallest amount of money. Plus I like to get to know the local scene rather than all the hyped tourist attractions. I'm new to this and will be traveling across Europe this summer so looking to get my feet wet and try CS out. For this reason I'll be unavailable to host summer of 2017.

Music, Movies, and Books

Music: Most anything that has a good beat, poetic, inspiring and fun to dance to, with the exception of Heavy Metal. Latest finds are Oh Wonder and Misterwives.
Movie: A like a variety of movies from The Long Way Back to Warm Bodies to Edge of Tomorrow to Hook (a classic)!
Books: Too many again, but most recent reads are The Hundred Foot Journey, The Book Thief, I Am Malala, Ender's Game

I've hosted international teachers from the Middle East, various African Countries, and China to teach them about Special Education in the United States.

I'm a teacher through and through so I love engaging conversations about life, religion, culture, nature or anything enlightening. I am always down to learning something new. I am an open book so whatever knowledge or insights I have I share.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I make friends wherever I go and get along with almost everybody. I can cook most things even vegan or allergy free foods. I can teach basic ASL and behavior management techniques for those pesky family members you haven't quite trained yet.

Willing to share travel experiences and sight seeing.
