About Me
27 year old Australian, recently quit my job to travel the world for as long as I can afford, has been ages since my last trip; a long time coming 😊🏞
I'm a recently qualified Carpenter, have been working intensely 50+ hours a week for the last 4 years and have had little energy outside of this; I'm hoping to find a lifestyle with a better work life balance in the future.
I'm from Melbourne, the most locked down city in the world with over 260 days of lockdown + restrictions surrounding these days from 2020 - 2022. I've been keen to ditch this city for a long time, live life to the fullest and explore as much as possible.
Unfortunately my living conditions at home make me unable to host so far. I have only been able to live in shared accommodation with 3-4 housemates I've been unable to host. However my families house has plenty of space, and if anyone was visiting Melbourne I would stay there with them and show you around! It's a bit far from the city centre but I have a car.
Hopefully one day I'll be able to afford my own place where I would love to host and give back to the community a bit.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I believe the best way to experience a country and its culture is to truly live like a local. Also my favourite thing about traveling is not sightseeing, but getting to know different people from around the world.
I would love to meet up with some travelers and show them around Melbourne/Victoria. Camping and day trips could be organized, as well as nights out. Hit me up!
Interests
38/196 countries visited. I'm a really slow traveler though, I like to get a feeling for each country I visit and explore all corners of it rather than just spend a few days in the capital city, so I don't think I'll ever get to visit every country, unless I live until I'm 200 years old.

Music, Movies, and Books
I love all kinds of music, especially disco, house, techno, psychedelic/goa trance, jungle, reggae, rock, hip hop, etc...
Nature cinematography, documentaries, anything directed/filmed by Ron Fricke.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Hitchhiking 10,300km+ this trip and counting, the entire length of Iran, Armenia, Georgia Turkey and Israel.
Nearly getting arrested by religious police in Iran.
Hitchhiking the Turkey-Iraq border and sleeping in a park after being questioned by Kurdish border police for 7 hours.
Hitchhiking 600km+ in one day, a few times.
Teach, Learn, Share
The simple and easy-going but fun Australian lifestyle.
The history, culture and way of life of your countries people.
Smiles, laughs, music.
If you are visiting Melbourne I will be happy to host you and show you around our beautiful natural areas, introduce you to the culture of young Australians, barbeques, day trips to the beach or parks, natural water holes for swimming. I can take you to an Australian Football game which is a must see, take you on camping and road trips, to bars/clubs, house gatherings/parties if you're visiting at the right time I can introduce you to the underground rave scene here.
What I Can Share with Hosts
Good times, fun stories, terrible humour, musical tastes, laughter.
I'm a respectful guest and always clean up after myself, I'm also happy to help out a bit around the house when needed, or if you've got any handy projects/things that need quick fixes around the house I'm your guy! I also love cooking (although when travelling I would have minimum ingredients to make my favorites') but would love to try whip up some simple and tasty dishes for anyone kind enough to take me in.
