我为什么加入 Couchsurfing

Currently travelling around the South Pacific and NZ, looking to expand my perspective and knowledge beyond the hometown. I am also a firm believer that couches and cots are more comfortable than beds. I would much rather stay in a home where I can give back and help out than in a hostel or hotel, so I surf for the community.

兴趣

Classical musician turned carpenter, began by building sets for local theatre companies. I am a lifelong sailor and a recent convert to backpacking after spending a summer in Yosemite NP. In practice, I am a traveling bard with a love of handywork.

I can share knowledge on sailing, ropework, basic engineering and architecture, music theory and several instruments, and a love of written and performing arts. My current focus of study will take me down the path of the practical - more architecture, engineering, and construction techniques (passive solar, maybe build a yurt or two), electrical, mechanical (I'd love to know how to convert a petrol truck to LPG), and agricultural techniques. I also desperately want to learn more about cooking (in the meantime, I will never shy away from a pile of dishes). However, there are few things I will not be willing to learn or try once.
