I'm Benjamin, an entrepreneur from Germany currently living in Berlin. I'm very much interested in seeing the world, learning languages, hiking/nature-related stuff, and much more!

First, there is one thing of utmost importance you need to know about me: I'm German, but I don't drink beer.

WHAT??! A German who doesn't drink beer???!!!1111

Yeah, right. But you can always get me with longdrinks and cocktails ;)

I believe in human creativity and the happiness of life. I know that being happy is not evil. I approve of individualism, freedom, free markets and the principle of minimal state. I know that for saying "I love you", one must first say "I".

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Staying with local people I get to have experiences abroad that are not comparable to anything I would get as a "normal" tourists. I can be part of the local life for some time, which I enjoy very much.

Music, Movies, and Books

I've read a lot of genres from historical to temporary to fantasy to science-fiction to indistinguishable. Fact is, I liked them all. Or nearly all. Among the authors whose books I liked are Ayn Rand, George R.R. Martin, Frank Schätzing, Richard Dawkins, J.R.R. Tolkien, Richard David Precht, Thomas Mann, and Phillip Roth.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

One of my hosts on Guadeloupe took me with her to her house on the island of Marie Galante, where we went harpoon fishing in the sea and later had a crawfish barbecue. I really like to remember this time.
