About Me

I live on a small farm in the Adelaide Hills, 45 minutes south-east of Adelaide in a town called Ashbourne. I am sharing an awesome place with my best buddy ( Martin Gray, lower Mitcham) . Here we play music, practice farming skills, try and make our own beer and enjoy the spectacular surrounding nature. I am an easy going person, I love being active, creating things and having good conversation over a nice pot of coffee.

I want for couch surfers to feel at home when they stay with us, and to explore the local area freely. I have some bicycles that guests are free to use and I am happy to share our home brewed beer and cook a nice meal. I like to keep busy during the days so I prefer guests that are willing to entertain themselves and appreciate the countryside. However, I am also willing to show guests some of the local nature and cool little towns. We are very flexible and fun and happy to go with the vibe of our guests. If you want to drink some beers and have a sunset bbq we are happy to. If you want to play chess, drink tea and bird watching, lets do it.

I love learning from guests, especially when it comes to cooking a meal from their country. So in you request just tell me what you can teach me and also what meal your going to make for us ;)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I am on couch Surfing because I love to do things the way locals do and I try to avoid organised tourism. I am hosting because I want to to give couch surfers the best experience I can, and I want them to have the best Australian experience as possible. I am hosting more to share an awesome experience with couch surfers rather than just provide accommodation, our place suits travelers who appreciate alternative living styles and being in nature and getting the most out life.

Interests

I love to play music, i have too many guitars and a banjo, and out on the farm I can make as much noise as I want. I am in the middle of starting a videography business with my best friend Marty. I keep very busy and active with all my hobbies.

Music, Movies, and Books

Favorite music: I love country folk music, a lot. But I listen to a whole bunch of genres.
Favorite books: Wheres Waldo? anything written by Tim Winton.
Favorite movies: I prefer independent films, but if I had to watch any on repeat for the rest of my life, it would be terminator 2 followed by lethal weapon 2. Love the 1980's action.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Learnt spanish, learning spanish is the best thing that I have ever done. If I never chose to learn spanish, I wouldnt have met the majority of great people that I did in my travels through South America.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach the ways of simple living, guitar chords, beer brewing, English practice, Spanish practice, wood work or how to climb a gum tree.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can share a piece of paradise, some great meals, laughter and instant coffee ;)
