Resumen
Sobre mí
CURRENT MISSION
Doing research in International Relations
ABOUT ME
I'm a PhD student at the London School of Economics. I treat life as a fun and sometimes bizarre journey; and I believe a large part of enjoying life to its fullest consists of meeting interesting, open-minded and engaged people. I studied Politics and Philosophy at the University of Oxford before going to the LSE and have tried to structure my life to do justice to those principles. I travel to the US and Canada a fair amount; for research, and because I love these countries slightly more than is healthy for me.
PHILOSOPHY
A mixture of the views and teachings of:
Immanuel Kant, John Locke, Isaiah Berlin, Benjamin Franklin, Jeff Bridges, The Arhat Daniel M. Ingram, Henepola Gunaratana and Victor Frankl
Por qué estoy en Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I'm checking out Couchsurfing for the second time as a surfer, and I'm still hoping to host in my sweet pad in North London!
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I went to Toronto in March, which was my first CS experience, and it was truly mind-blowing. Hence I am looking to gather more such memories!
Have been introduced to the concept by Katie, a good friend of mine whose outgoing curiosity in all things life-related seem to epitomise the CS mindset!
Intereses
I like finding out what other people's lives are like, and I enjoy talking about topics that relate to all humans, regardless of where they live - what constitutes happiness, how should we lead our lives, how can we make the most of our brief time on this planet?
- animals
- causes
- politics
- news
- tv
- traveling
- magic
- economics
- international relations

Algo increíble que he hecho
Interviewed Condoleezza Rice, Robert Gates and had a one-on-one with George Bush (the elder); partied till dawn in Beijing and watched the sun rise over Tiananmen Square; struggled with the Chinese Secret Service; was a soloist in a professional production of Mozart's Magic Flute; gave a live news interview as a 12-year old on Brazilian TV; chilled by Mt Kilimanjaro area when 15 and got drunk with local Tanzanians; did charity work at a primary school in Rustenburg, outside Johannesburg; set up a company that organised student trips to Beijing and Dubai
Enseña, aprende, comparte
By thinking openly and logically we can understand the world and each other much more clearly than we realise. I research how to best understand the causes of things in international politics, and hope to apply my findings more widely to questions of human affairs.
I think that the Aristotelian, binary view of the world - divided into the material and the immaterial, man and animal, body and soul, life and death - is flawed. The world is better understood through a Buddhist understanding of 'wholeness'.
