ABOUT ME

I am a mystic monk without a monastery. I recently peddled my bicycle across the country. I am a cook and a writer. I usually wear a homemade robe. I do not own a car, and I use my bicycle as my primary source of transportation. I am engaged in an experiment with simplicity. I have two daughters, Hannah (18 years old) and Naomi (14 years old) and an ex-wife, Lisa (Hannah and Naomi's mother).

Be serious about humor. Take it slow and be very careful to listen. Dance with reckless abandon. Show love in every detail of your day. Make your whole life a prayer. Ask, “what would love do?”

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I have surfed and hosted, and the experiences were priceless and full of joyful connection. Couch surfing gives us permission to open our hearts to fellow travelers on the beauty path. I believe that hospitality is a virtue of the highest order and it is a divine gift to both the provider and the receiver.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

My daughter and I surfed at Kate and Bill Brown's in Nashville. We had a great time meeting new people, dancing, playing, riding bikes, and generally experiencing a loving home away from home. I have had equally spendid experiences hosting. Also, I have numerous experiences of opening up my heart and my home to new people. And inevitably, after overcoming my initial shyness, I have been gifted with the abundant joy that comes about when two human souls connect.

兴趣

I love to ride my bicycle, cook, play music (guitar, pennywhistle, harmonica, drum), read, talk about the way we experience life (philosophy, spirituality, simplicity, economics, anything), silence, yoga, meditation, poetry, dancing.
