I've stayed with dozens of couch surfing hosts on bike tours over the years and am filled with gratitude. Trying to chip away at paying this back.

ABOUT ME

Found my way into a semi-intentional community in DC a few years ago which is how I first grew roots here. Our landlord moved into the house a few years ago so four of us started a group house in Langdon Park in NE DC. It's been nice.

Settling down anywhere is hard for me but I'm pretty gratified by the people I have in my life here.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I hosted a dozen or so couchsurfers at my house in DC in 2012, and since then I've stayed on dozens of couches on one bike tour or another around the country. We recently started opening up our 2 couches for surfers again from time to time.

On balance, very positive.
