About Me
Alright, I am going to update this page now! I haven't had a couch surfing request in months. I don't know why (is it my profile picture? or is everyone always just really nice to me and then in the end they write a secret negative review? Or is there a new virus, that the Germans haven't heard of, because they are still busy with Covid (in March 2023?!) Actually they found out, that people don't really get infected on the bus anymore so they stopped the "Maskenpflicht" (yes, we even have a word for that) last month, so well done, German government... but I'm drifting off...)
Anyway... please feel free to be our guests :-)
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I like meeting new people, share stories etc. I think there is always something you can learn from anyone. I like travelling and I guess couchsurfers are on average somehow more open and less uptight than others.
As a host, Conny and I like to share our flat or show you around the city if we have time. We have three super cute little daughters toddling around our flat, so entertainment is guaranteed (sleep is not, just kidding) :D
Interests
Sports: football, climbing etc. I actually love sports, but unfortunately I rarely have time for it.
Music: I play piano and guitar, both badly but enthusiastically. I listen to a lot of stuff, I don't like mainstream pop stuff. To step onto a dance floor, I would have had to have at least 10 beers :D

Music, Movies, and Books
Some of the best books I have read:
Doing good better (William MacAskill) - If you want to do your share of good in the world, it is a must-read!
Factfulness (Hans Rosling) - If you have very strong opinions on political view, I can definetely recommend it! It changed the way I see the world in a positive way.
Machtbeben (Dirk Müller) - a geoplitical essay, very brave and very informative.
Homo Deus - Yuval Harari - explains where we come from and the inevitability of where we are going. Kind of extreme in lots of ways.
Nassim Taleb - The Black Swan - If you are successful, do not underestimate the luck you had. Also, do not plan things that cannot be planned.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Founded a start-up and still run it
