About Me
CURRENT MISSION
To eradicate social injustice and environmental degradation
ABOUT ME
All about me? I guess I, as everybody, have a tendency to like talking about themselves - however, I am much more interested in the people I meet, their story and what gets them up everyday. It's inspiring, motivating and can serve as a window to the world.
I have an international background and I love traveling for the above mentioned reasons
PHILOSOPHY
"An eye for an eye and we all go blind" This is not so much a personal invention but rather inspired by M. Gandhi.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
By default, I always have a couch available. If I am travelling it can be a bit difficult to organise a couch but I will do my best.
I respond to all couch requests as soon as possible.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I have never had a couch surfing story through CS yet - I hope to have one soon!
Interests
I am interested in the reasons behind systemic poverty and injustice around the world. Why are some places well off and others in a dire state.
I am curious about the culinary delights of any and all regions. I have been so privileged to locally sample foods from countries in Northern and Southern Africa, North and South America, South East Asia, Middle east and some of my favourite foods in the Mediterranean region - however, nothing can beat a good old Smoerrebroed made in Copenhagen.
Come surf my couch and I will see to that you get a taste.

Music, Movies, and Books
I am a fan of the classics and more recently academic literature concerning poverty, development and CSR by authors such as Sen, Dunning, Khanna, Porter...
with regards to music I am a looser, I love genres as diverse as rock and classical, Indie and Pop but I don't follow the music scene much and tend to listen to tunes when they pop up on the radio.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
In Istanbul, a homeless man was scourging through the rubbish heaps in the heat of day looking for a scrap to eat. A shopkeeper approached him with a can of Ayran (local drinking yogurt) and gave it to him.
A small gesture but reflective of a kind heart and a good person.
This and many other :Amazing thing Done/Seen has inspired me to do what little I can to make a difference.
Teach, Learn, Share
If you would be ashamed of printing a story of what you do on the frontpage of tomorrow's newspaper, you should think twice about doing it - a well known maxim that identifies the rules of the game; in addition to that be kind and generous, it helps!
