ABOUT ME

I am quiet and kind. I am a Christian. I also will admit, I am also very cheap. If I had more money, I probably would just have stayed at hotels, and not looked into couchsurfing. But once I looked into the website, I liked what I saw. It reminds me how money and convenience can really isolate us. I really like the idea of community. The world seems so dark most of the time, and a group of people willing to take in complete strangers is reassuring. It is nice to think that people can still be kind. When I was in the military, many people opened their homes to me, even though they didn't know me. To me, one of the highest forms of kindness is to be welcomed into someone's home. I like meeting people this way. It is hard to explain. There is just something about going into someone's home turf that alters the dynamics of a friendship. Leaning about people forces me to reexamine myself and see my own foolishness. I have a lot of practice being a guest, too. I won't be a bother. I am now a full time student in Rochester NY, hoping to go to medical school in a few years. I am pretty good at talking about anything. I also like coffee a lot, so I might bring coffee making supplies and treat you to coffee every morning. Look forward to meeting you.
