About Me
Always looking for something new to try!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I want to get to know people from around the world and see what absolute strangers might have in common. My best travel experiences have undoubtedly been with locals.
Interests
I love to learn about the world and think about the past and the future. So I'm passionate about trying to lead a sustainable lifestyle but also love to immerse myself in new cultures. Hence I love get to know the local music, food and traditions wherever I am in the world. I'd much rather go explore the streets for street art and graffiti than visit a museum. And always prefer a home cooked meal over a restaurant.

Music, Movies, and Books
I listen to folk music, reggae and quite a few other genres. I play the Irish banjo, mandolin and Greek bouzouki.
Books: I like Nikos Katantzakis, Ted Chiang, Robert Graves, Yuval Noah Harari. Devoured Michael Palin's travel books as a kid too. My latest discovery is Dan Millman's The Way of the Peaceful Warrior
Also a big fan of Wes Anderson movies and almost any enlightening documentary
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I moved from Ireland to Germany when I was 22 and now just finished my PhD! That took a little commitment. And now for something completely different...
Teach, Learn, Share
I can help you learn English, German, physics, cooking or music
What I Can Share with Hosts
I'd love to cook you a meal and play you some music. I can clean and help out around the house too.
