ABOUT ME

I'm currently living in London after finishing Uni in Manchester and moving out of my folks house. I write a weekly(ish) page in a national paper about budget travel, which means I get to go away lots (the technical term for this is "lucky bastard"). My life still feels pretty chaotic, despite the fact that I'm supposed to be settling down. I love spending time with my nephews and niece as they make me laugh.

PHILOSOPHY

I value integrity, loyalty, and depth above anything else. I like to think i'm very open-minded. Creativity cannot be valued highly enough. I'm also a hopeless pacifist, despite sometimes wishing I wasn't.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Have done it a dozen times now and blooming loved it. As a guest and as a host...amazing experiences.

Interests

My love of football and travelling borders on obsession. I also love (slightly more rationally) writing, socialising, reading, swimming in the sea, being active, talking, thinking (often too much), the internet...and all that jazz.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Sat on a hill overlooking Sarajevo as the sun set hearing the call to prayer with a few drinks and wonderful people. Only realised afterwards it was the site of an impromptu concert after the war. Also have a habit of jumping into water from high points. Marvellous.

Teach, Learn, Share

I spent three years studying modern Middle Eastern history if anyone's interested! I'm also a European hostel enthusiast. I would love to learn Spanish properly.
