About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To not plan too far ahead

ABOUT ME

I've just graduated from Durham University with a degree in Anthropology. I loved my course because of my passion for different cultures and different ideas. I enjoy meeting people who have stories to tell, and I'm always chatting to locals wherever I go.

PHILOSOPHY

I try to take life as it comes, always see the positives in every situation, and make the most of every opportunity.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Anyone travelling to the North East of England is welcome to get in touch with me so we can meet up and go for a drink.

As I'm in between uni and finding a job I'm travelling and staying with my parents at the moment, but once I start my job in January I'll have my couch up for grabs for anyone who needs somewhere to stay in London!

Interests

I love being outdoors. I'm full of energy and up for anything - I'm into rafting, wild swimming, hiking, surfing and sailing.

I love trying new foods, dancing, singing, playing music, listening to music being played, and a good hearty fire!

Music, Movies, and Books

My favourite music is folk music, but anything that chills me out or makes me want to dance is great.

I love hearing traditional music played by people proud of their culture. The West coast of Ireland and County Clare gets my juices flowing, and my favourite instrument in the world is the Uilleann pipes (I also love the bagpipes!)

My favourite story ever is 'The Lord of the Rings', but the best book I've read recently is 'Three Cups of Tea' - the story of Greg Mortenson's work in Pakistan and Afghanistan.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Crammed into a tiny little pub in a tiny little village on the west coast of Ireland to listen to the best music 'sesiun' I've ever heard, played long into the night, with people aged from 3 to 83 up from their chairs and dancing away!

Teach, Learn, Share

I would love to help anyone who wants to learn more about rowing (I was President of Durham University Boat Club whilst at uni) or about building pig pens!

Countries I’ve Visited

Belgium, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Cambodia, Croatia, France, Greece, Hungary, India, Indonesia, Ireland, Italy, Malaysia, Nepal, Spain, Sweden
