About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Enjoy the mountains!

ABOUT ME

Hello, I am Benjamin. I´m a pretty happy go lucky guy who loves travelling - I´m not sure what it is that I enjoy so much, maybe that feeling of always being on the move and not knowing what is round the next corner, who who you are going to meet! Whatever it is I know that I need it.

I like chatting, don't care to what language, don't care who to. I think it's that experience of creating a connection with someone and getting an insight into them, but again I'm not sure if that is entirely it either

I love to run. I love that feeling of being at the edge of your physical limit and still keeping on going. Often when I run I jump as well, bins, benches, small children...

I'm addicted to change and novelty - maybe why i like travelling so much, but routine (and i know lots of people say this) really grinds me down. Maybe this will change with time.

PHILOSOPHY

Things always sort themselves out!

"But why think about that when all the golden land's ahead of you and all kinds of unforseen events wait lurking to surprise you and make you glad you're alive to see" - Jack Kerouac 'On The Road'

Dance like no-one is watching, sing like no-one is listening, love like you've never been hurt

"Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things that you didn't do than by the ones you did do. So throw off the bowlines. Sail away from the safe harbor. Catch the trade winds in your sails. Explore. Dream. Discover." -- Mark Twain

"We live in a wonderful world that is full of beauty, charm and adventure. There is no end to the adventures we can have if only we seek them with our eyes open." -- Jawaharal Nehru

Music, Movies, and Books

It completely depends what kind of mood I am in - I could just as easily watch an swash bucklling adventure film as 500 days of Summer, or listen to some drum and bass or English Folk music. It's the same with books, I've just finished Catch 22 which I loved but then was also addicted to 'One Day' - If your reading this and you haven't read this book go out and buy it now!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Lead every member of a team of 25 students to the summit of Mt KilimanjaroWatched the sunset from the top of Mt Sinai with my dad when I was 12 years oldOh no these are both Mountain related...One more thing...Oh I taught English in a primary school for 4 months in the middle of the Costa Rican jungle which was pretty cool and was the root of my inspiration to become a teacherTravelled by train from London to Hong Kong which was such a wonderful experience...

Teach, Learn, Share

What can I offer?... Good question... I can make a really briliant Origami bird which flaps its wings

I´m not half bad at doing kick ups with a football which I am more than happy to try and teach someone.

Oh I can also make a really cool owl like noise with my hands...

However it should be noted that all of the above are extremely difficult and take years of dedication and practice to truly master ;-)
