About Me
CURRENT MISSION
To finish writing the script for a short film I would like to shoot next year and to bring further on my political studies
ABOUT ME
I was born in Italy and I grew up between Italy and Tuscany, where part of my family still lives. I have always been really interested in cinema, theatre and politics and have been studying political philosophy in Milano and then graduated from National film school in London, in cinematography. I started taking still pictures when my father gave me a cheap camera, I was 9, then I kept on shooting and photography is still really important for me.
Besides attending theatre classes, I have been part of an acrobatic and circus school for a long time when I was in Milano and still now I keep on training, expecially in aereals, like rope and silks.
I now live mostly in London and work both as photographer and cinematographer. Also I write a lot, and in the last years I started collaborating with some small magazines in Italy.
I have been travelling a lot in 2011 because I was involved in two really interesting documentaries, but I have never been travelling for a long time on my own, with my backpack, and I would love to do so, one day.
I am really openmined and I love sharing ideas and experiences and meeting new people, and travelling is of course an amazing way to do so.
PHILOSOPHY
I believe there is a way to go beyond capitalism and to try to imagine a more balance relationship between man and nature. I am really critical of objectivism approach and believe that critical attitude is the most important feature for each individual. If I had to sum up my philosophy I would say 'mythical thinking', but I guess this requires a lot of explanations! Ok, another time I'll explain!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I can cook a great chocolate and pear cake, and some really nice Italian pastas if this can help!
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
Despite having a profile since 2008, I never really used couch surf, but would be nice to start before or after!
A lot of friends are on couch surf, and I have been recently in Lisbon with my friend Luca, that is living there, and he convinced me to log in and use the web site, instead of keeping on looking for youth hostels!
