Interests

I am a botany graduate student at KU. Botanizing, birding, hiking, reading, and making new things are all things that make me happy. Right now I am learning the banjo!

Music: Folk music, bluegrass, classical, jazz, soft rock, world music, and anything new!

Movies: Planet Earth, Grand Budapest Hotel, LoTR, Wizard of Oz, Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid, foreign films, documentaries

TV: Curb your Enthusiasm, Game of Thrones, Westworld

Books: Lots of non-fiction science. My favorite fiction books are Cien Anos de Soledad, Don Quixote, The Count of Monte Cristo, In Search of Lost Time, & Shakespeare
