Riding my bike around all of the water in British Columbia and Washington

ABOUT ME

I'm an easy, often slow moving person who enjoys relaxation at almost any hour. This, however, does not prevent me from jumping into activities and running around for hours. I can be fairly straightforward and enjoy open communication. I laugh a good amount, which usually lightens the mood in interactions. I usually don't enjoy repeating what others have done or following crowds. RIght now I lead 5th graders on week long field trips in the redwoods.

PHILOSOPHY

I believe everything has a silver lining, nothing is all good or all bad.
Often times, I'm wrong. (and this is a good thing)
Good times can be had almost anywhere, and its up to you to find them.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I love to give good travel tips of natural areas in Northern CA, where I am from and would love to stay with anyone who is excited to share stories and good hiking spots around the world.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

While traveling across the US and into Spain and Israel I have needed and been able to be housed by those generous enough to do so. I've learned to give back to those who give is essential and understanding the needs of the host is paramount (and cooking dinner is a wonderful way to give back).

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Waking up and realizing you are miles from civilization. Walking through a crowd of hundreds of Ghanaians and being the only white person. Finding a Black Chanterelle, then realizing they were all around me. Eating or drinking something so overpoweringly delectable that my actions are reduced to bouncing and smiling. The look of wonder on a childs face.

Teach, Learn, Share

Natural History (plants especially), I tend to giggle...from time to time, How to make stuffed animals, Songs about nature for kids, Basket making, I like to have fun with things I eat and drink and this has lead to some interesting discoveries in the kitchen
