About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To see as many places, meet as many people, and hear as many fascinating stories as I can!

ABOUT ME

Hi, everyone! I am an aspiring writer, an avid traveler, and a lover of good conversation with friendly and fascinating people. I teach English on a Fulbright scholarship in the small village of Titisee-Neustadt, Germany, while also working on a novel and doing a bit of translating (German to English). Born and raised in small-town USA, I long to see as much of the wider world as I can and hope to engage with fun and captivating people along the way. Stories are what I live for, so why not seek them out?

PHILOSOPHY

My philosophy? Push yourself to do what you're most afraid of doing. Challenge yourself. Conquer your fears. You'll sleep better at night that way.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

At the moment, I am far from my home in Louisiana, USA, and am therefore not hosting, just traveling.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have done couchsurfing a few times: once in Ireland, and later in France. Hoping to have some new couchsurfing experiences soon though!

Interests

Right now, most of my time is spent working at a German gymnasium, where I teach English to German students. In my spare time, I read, write, and do some translating. I love good coffee, nice wines (and good Bourbon when I can get it), as well as good food and classy restaurants (I'm from New Orleans, so restaurants are quite the hobby!). Besides these things, I like hiking, running, visiting new places, and of course, good conversation with interesting people.
