ABOUT ME

After turning 18, it seems like I couldn't quite figure out what I wanted to do. I went to Annapolis, Maryland to the Naval Academy for one year, then I quit and went on a mission to Romania and Moldova for two years. Then I had to finish college so I went with the only obvious choice and went to Hawaii for four years. Island life was too slow-paced so I left and came to Shanghai where I've been for..... a long time.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I've got an extra room here in Shanghai, in the center of town (right behind the JW Marriot in people's square). If I can find a roommate (hopefully soon), I'll still have an extra room, only smaller. Only roommates who are down with couchsurfers are accepted.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

so far, all good experiences. I've met some amazing people on CS, and have yet to have a single bad experience. Hosted a lot in Shanghai before, looking to host more now that all my roommates have fled back to the US. Stayed with a wonderful Brazilian host in Beijing -- great experience.

every trip is amazing. motorcycled through Sichuan province three times, Xinjiang province, Yunnan twice, Qinghai province and Guizhou/Guilin. Separate trips, not all together.
I played with a wild deer in Qinghai (after I thought it was going to kill me. Turns out deer are vegetarians, so I was in the clear).
