I live in Edinburgh, in a big shared house with my girlfriend Alice, six other lovely people, and many bicycles.

For the last year I've worked for Community Energy Scotland; supporting renewable energy projects to both install community owned turbines, and find ways to use and sell the energy locally. Apart from that I like to explore the hills and woods around Edinburgh, do lots of little craft projects with wood, wool, or electric thingumies, and drum in our samba protest band.

I first moved to Edinburgh a little over two years to study renewable technologies, after finishing university, hitch hiking through Europe quite a bit, and wondering what use I could really put my history degree to.
