About Me

I'm doing my Erasmus at Trinity College Dublin until May! My roots are in Munich where my family, friends and dog are.
I'm a very curious person and like to think about things deeply. I enjoy learning about diverse fields, from linguistics or psychology to computer science or mathematics.
I approach travelling with the same curious attitude and hope to come back home with many vivid memories of Ireland!
My biggest passion by far is Ultimate Frisbee!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

In general because it's a great opportunity to travel authentically and get to know open-minded people around the world. It's just way more exciting than staying in isolated hotels.
More specifically, I play Ultimate Frisbee which includes a lot of travelling to tournaments around central Europe. While doing so, I sometimes stay longer to discover the town or region.
As I still live with my parents in Munich, I can only host when they're not home. But I really enjoy the rare occasions I am able to host since I get a different perspective on my city or country as well when showing someone guests around.

Music, Movies, and Books

The Imitation Game was awesome. Forrest Gump always cheers me up. My favourite TV-show of all time is Sherlock (which inspired me to read the books as well).
Recently read "All men are mortal" by Simone de Beauvoir which was quite touching.
Right now I'm struggling through "Gödel, Escher, Bach"...
Read lots of comics a few years ago, now only occasionally though.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

There is no specific thing that stands out. Never climbed Mount Everest or anything like that.
My most intense moments might happen when I play Ultimate Frisbee. I don't think but just play and give everything I have. Playing German Championships Finals with my team from Munich this year felt amazing.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach cool ways to throw a frisbee, it's the sport I live for!
If you are learning German, French, Italian (or English) we can learn that together.
I love mathematics and computer science, so we can definitely talk about that, and if it's not too high-level I can also help with studying or similar.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can help you with cooking and shopping, although I'm still an eager learner in that field.
We can definitely share a beer or two! I'm easy-going, sometimes nerdy and always curious about foreign customs or unfamiliar ways of thinking.
I'm not a typical Bavarian person (I rarely visit the Oktoberfest) but I can surely share with you some knowledge about our culture and language.
