ABOUT ME

I suppose my good friends would say I'm an easy going person that is usually up for anything. I certainly like to have a good time, but when traveling on a student's budget, I realize that it's not possible every waking second, so I definitely don't mind just hanging about and relaxing. I just graduated university here in the states and am heading to Denmark in June (2012) to work at a golf course and live with the family that runs the club. I'm trying to experience as much as I can after my stint at the golf course.

PHILOSOPHY

New experiences, traveling, good food, and friends are what life should be about. Not the 9-5 grind that the "american dream" has become and is a farce these days. But do what makes you happy is most important. Sadly, I feel money is the root of all evil, and without it, I wouldn't be allowed to travel to new places or experience new events, but there certainly ways to get by without slaving away at a job one hates and sees no end in sight.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Meeting a fellow girl from the states while in Denmark's second largest city, Aarhaus, for a drink. She was sweet as could be and it was nice to have a touch of home during my stay in Denmark.

Now looking towards the future and seeing if people in Palma de Mallorca could be kind enough to lend a couch for a few days.

Interests

I was once a competitive golfer in school, but often just play for fun these days. I recently found out that I have a degenerative bone-disease known as spinal stenosis most likely due to stressing my back from too much golf or high school bus crash. It's painful as can be and makes it difficult to enjoy my favorite hobby. Sorry to be a downer, it's new news to me.

Other than that, I enjoy nice weather, bike-riding, cooking and experimenting with new recipes, as well as some beat-generation reading, and generally just "hangin' out" as we say here in the states. I just earned my Urban Planning Degree from university and genuinely love going to new places with urban design and concepts in mind.
