About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Building up my resilience. Trying to be the change I want to see in the world.
ABOUT ME
What could I say? I think it would be relevant to start my description saying that I'm someone totally absent-minded. Besides, I'm deaf in the left ear. This original combo generally leads to tremendous and hilarious stories (ask my friends if you want to hear some). And it also explains why I dislike too noisy places. This might be a problem for me in bars because, as a good Belgian, I like beers !
I'm someone having paradoxal trait of character : I'm organised and messy, I'm late and on time, I can be very focused on something or just not with it, clumsy and meticulous, sober and drunk, complicated and simple, shy and talkative, decided and hesitant, spontaneous and reflective... And no, I'm not schizophrenic ;) Even though I have plenty nicknames (like bob, bennybob(ine), Nasredine, Mumlek, Cojo, Corbo(coco), ...
PHILOSOPHY
I'm not sure I have one. Or rather, I have a lot, a lot of values and beliefs, but no peculiar religion or philosophy.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I want too meet other people and share something with them. This is important to me that you don't only come to have a free place. I can help you in many different ways, and you can do the same to me and my girlfriend : cooking a typical dish of your country, helping for the vegetable patch, ... We would really appreciate it ! In exchange, I'm ready to be your guide here during your stay, I can bring you to some party or event with my friends, ... We would definitely appreciate a small gift from the place you live (just a postcard would be perfect, we're collecting it !).
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I was hosted by a crazy guy in Kuala Lumpur. It was my first and last CS experience. This man just couldn't stop hosting people (we still wonder how he earn his life^^). It made me want to try it in my turn, so here I am !
Interests
Nature. Sport. Travelling. Reading.
This must be why I made a one-year worldwide bicycle tour. A life experience, for sure !
I like all kind of sport. My favourite is futsal. I played a lot football too. And I go sometimes for squash and badminton.
I enjoy a lot being in nature, especially for long trek into the wild.
I love to read too. I'm a great manga and comics reader as well.

Music, Movies, and Books
Movies. Here is a small selection of what I like. Mostly, it's american, english and french movies. Memento, Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, last batman trilogy, Matrix (the first especially), The game, Die hard III, Inside man, A beautiful mind, Edward's Scissorhands, Forrest Gump, Fracture, From Hell, The Truman Show, Into the wild, Le diner de con, Oldboy, Little miss sunshine, Requiem for a dream, Snatch, Demolition Man (THE action movie when I was young), The goonies, The green Mile, V for Vendetta, American beauty, 6th sense, the shawshank redemption, ...
Music : well, I'm not "specialised" in one kind of music. I like to listen a bit of all. My preference goes to electronic music. Usually, I like to listen to something chilling me, my friends call it "elevator music" (classical music, Agnes Obel, Wim Mertens, Yan Tiersen, Aaron, Vector lovers, hooverphonic ...). Reggae is good for this, like Stand high patrol, alborosie, and the great Bob, of course. I like french rap (james deano, kenny arkana, grand corps malade,...). I love folk music as well (french and quebecian). Don't like metal.
Manga : One Piece, slam dunk, vagabond, Vinland saga, berserk, death note, gunm (last order), akira, ...
Books : too many ! I just love reaging, and recently I read a lot of classics (Wuthering Heights, count of Monte Cristo, ...), SF (P. F. Hamilton saga "Night's dawn trilogy", Dans Simmons and Asimov) and polar/thriller (la vérité sur l'affaire Harry Québert and Millenium trilogy)
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Without doubt, my world bicycle trip !
Teach, Learn, Share
Share : a lot of things on resilience, "sustainable development", a good beer, seeds ...

Learn : how to grow vegetables
