About Me

CURRENT MISSION

to build a little hut on the banks of the Amazon or Congo and live the rest of my days in self sustained joy, observing fish and other creatures in their natural habitat.

ABOUT ME

I'm a simple fellow who enjoy's the good things in life from a little seaside town in the North East of England famed for its monkey hanging and a canoe man. I've got a National Diploma in Fine Art and an NVQ in Environmental Conservation and am currently studying ichthyology.

PHILOSOPHY

Age is not important unless you're a cheese.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I hope to see new places and meet new people.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

My couchsurfing times have been full of fun and banter!

Interests

I enjoy art, the natural world (especially aquatic life), music and having a laugh with my mates.

Music, Movies, and Books

I like films from masters such as Terry Gilliam, Peter Jackson, Stanley Kubrick, Francis Ford Coppolla. Some of my alltime favourite films are Leon, Brazil, Braindead, A Bronx Tale, Natural Born Killers, 2001: A Space Oddyssey, Alien. Favourite fiction books include The Hobbit, Lord of the Flies and To Kill A Mockingbird but I prefer to further my knowledge by reading reference books on Flora, Fauna and the Natural World. I probably spend most of my reading time with Practical Fishkeeping Magazine! GEEK alert!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Completing my PADI scuba diving course. I once bumped into a shark while snorkelling aswell, looking back now I think it was a Triaenodon obesus "White tip reef shark". The most amazing experience that sticks out in my head at the moment was meeting and interacting with a splendid little cuttlefish while diving in Dubai.
