About Me

MISSION

Be my best self.

PHILOSOPHY

ABOUT ME

I'm Ben, from St-Jean-Sur-Richelieu, Qc, Ca. I just finished my bachelor in civil engineering and I 've been travelling in Europe since January 15th.

It's a bit difficult to describe someone in just a few words, but I would say I am an easygoing, friendly and adventurous type of guy. I don't take myself too seriously and I like to make people laugh. Sometimes I am funny, but the rest of the time I'm just hilarious.

No need to say I am very respectful and I won't bother you in any way.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've been hosted a few times now (Brussels, The Hague, Hamburg, Dresden and Bratislava ) and it has always been a charm. I met very interesting and open minded people and I am very thankful for it. I really enjoy to hear about each person story and try to see life with a different perspective.

Interests

I like to go snowboarding, play soccer/football, go for a hike, hit a rave or a music show but I can still enjoy a good philosophical conversation or read a good book. I am also planning to learn to play piano and dance salsa.

Music, Movies, and Books

Music: I am really into electronic music like trance, DnB or house but I listen to pretty much everything except american pop or country music.

Books: The power of now, the why cafe.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Pushed a one legged homeless guy in a wheelchair uphill for quite some time in Mayaguez, puerto-rico. The poor guy was struggling hard and nobody was helping. His smile was priceless. All in the small things!

Teach, Learn, Share

I am very interested into learning new languages, skills and learn about cultures.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can:

-Bring real canadian maple syrup.
-Pay for dinner, drinks, wine or beer.
-Cook and clean up.
-Help with physics/math/engineering problems.
-Be a good gym partner.
-Help to change car tires/oil change/change breaks.
-Teach you how to do an Origami crane.
-Teach you how to snowboard.
-Teach you how to catch wild rabbits in the forest.
-Teach you how to unclog a toilet with a construction cone. (works really well actually)
-Fight by your side against the dark side of the force or bring some ring to a mountain really far away while being chased by an army of deadly orc, but not both at the same time.
