ABOUT ME

I'm kind of a quiet guy, but I like meeting new people over a pint of beer. I enjoy a night partying at the club just as much as a relax evening just watching a movie or a series.
I like sporting, mainly football, tennis and running, but once a year I definitely need my skiing holiday as well.
I also really love nature and mainly the mountains. I'll go walking there even if no one is around to accompany me.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I rent a reasonably large apartment close to the center of Brussels. I live here along with my flatmate (Ruben) and we are willing to share our living room with people from all around the world
I must say I'm not much of a tourguide though :)

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I haven't gone couchsurfing myself, but over the last few months we had a lot of couchsurfers visiting our appartment, because my roommate was a host. I really liked the idea of it all, so now I decided to create my own profile to get even more people over here. It's just a great way to break the habit of a normal (read: boring) week and meet many new ppl from around the globe :)

Interessen

As a civil engineer I'm not that interested in modern art, but I can really enjoy the architecture of buildings, churches, bridges... But the architecture of mother nature is still the most amazing, that's why I love the mountains. Both in summer and winter: skiing and hiking.

Musik, Filme und Bücher

I love movies. Mainly thrillers and action movies, but other movies with a good plot are great as well. Favourites: Gladiator, Inception, Fallen, Shaun of the Dead, Hot Fuzz, Boondock Saints, Snatch, Chronicles of Riddick, The Dark Knight,... and many others

I mainly like electronical music: dance, trance, techno, drum 'n bass, dubstep,... Anything I can dance to

I'm not a big reader, but the books I read are mainly fantasy and thrillers.

Eine tolle Erfahrung, die ich gemacht habe

- Some national parks in the US: Arches, Canyonlands, Grand Canyon, Bryce Canyon, Yosemite,... Seeing the sunrise over Bryce Canyon is really the most amazing thing I've ever seen
- Biking through Norway: the fjords and mountains are really stunning
- Maya and Inca temples in Mexico: Chichen Itza, Palenque, Teotihuacan,...
- Tomorrowland: 3 days in higher atmospheres with the best DJ's and crowd in the world. At least there's one advantage of being Belgian :)
