Présentation
À propos de moi
CURRENT MISSION
To improve and enjoy my life and the world.
ABOUT ME
I am a curious explorer of life. Our ability to improve the world through creativity and collaboration drives me, and I want to experience everything our planet has to offer.
I try to think outside the pyramid.
PHILOSOPHY
In a word: balance.
This is an amazing place and time to be alive. Life itself is the craziest thing that ever happened to me, and I find humor in almost everything.
I think about how and what I can do to improve and enjoy my life and the world, what I can't and how to adapt, and any middle ground in between...balance.
Pourquoi je suis sur Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I live by the Golden Rule, am nice, and am generous. I love meeting new people because we can learn so much from each other and share wonderful experiences. To make the most of life, it's all about making these connections and sharing these experiences.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I'm brand new to this!
Centres d'intérêt
For fun I create music, ride bikes, hike, go out with friends, meet new people, eat brunch, BBQ, spend time in the park, and scour the intertubes for current global events/news, lolcats, and art that elevates mankind. Concerts, events, weekend getaways, vacations abroad, and the occasional all-night fiesta are part of the mix. Couch time is also important for reading and movies and relaxing...life is good.
For work, renewable energy is my calling. It constantly challenges and stretches me with technical, strategic, and political complexity. I'm surrounded by amazing and inspiring people, and we are changing the world everyday. I love it.

Morceaux de musique, films et livres
In general, my favorite art of any type usually involves generating a strong vibe, uniqueness, and/or detailed craftsmanship/skill. That said, it doesn't have to be "art" for me to enjoy it. :)
Music: Dirty Projectors, Squarepusher, Elliot Smith, Golijov, The Books, Mum, Bjork, Joanna Newsom, Tune-Yards, Sufjan, Radiohead, Beck, Tool, and thousands of others...also, anything backwards. Been into the new Fiona Apple album of late.
Movies: Brazil, Network, Thank you for Smoking, [insert list of Wes Anderson, Coen Bros, foreign, indie, art films, etc. here].
TV: Daily Show, Colbert, most HBO series, good nature shows, TED talks, Adult Swim (although it's been years).
Read: NYT.com, A Confederacy of Dunces, David Foster Wallace, SEED Magazine (science as culture), The Atlantic.
Food: I tend towards the healthy/organic side, but my "diet" is often a victim of deliciousness. There are a million amazing restaurants nearby. [write something about nachos]...Red is my favorite flavor of candy.
