My name is Benson Mariki, I am a dedicated individual, passionate about improving the environment in my local community and surrounding areas of Tanzania. Born and raised in Tanzania, I am familiar with many of the environmental issues that people face in a developing country. I believe that through education and providing support on alternative ways to use natural resources without causing its destruction, it will enable people to preserve the environment and learn to respect nature. The GLP aims to come up with realistic ways to ensure environmental preservation and support people simultaneously.

My university studies have enabled me to share my learnings with local communities and in schools, and continuous studies to become more specialized in other areas of sustainable environments ensures the GLP continues to progress and develop as a leading local environmental organization.

GLP always works in partnership with communities and every plan implemented has gained the support from the people that they will affect and the local chairmen.
