About Me
G'day! I'm Bente, 24y/o and happy that you are reading my profile right now ;)
I grew up in Germany and just finished my bachelor's degree in psychology there. My plan is to start the master's degree in 'clinical psychology and psychotherapy' starting in October 2024 - which I'm looking forward to as it will finally also become more practical.
Within the last years I've traveled and lived in several countries (among those, in Australia and Japan for a longer period of time).
Travelling - including diving into other ways of living, getting to know people from other countries and cultures, learning and getting to practice other languages - is a passion that I am very grateful to have discovered and to be able to live.
I have been volunteering at an NGO supporting female refugees in Thessaloniki, Greece from April 2024, for a bit more than two months. After this, I've been living in the countryside in Nepal for two months, after which I plan to travel in Vietnam for around a month, which I'm also looking forward to :)
Generally, I am a nature-loving person. I love to be outside, surrounded by nature, and going on hikes. I am awed by the stunning nature that exists in this world and hope to have the chances of still experiencing even more of it.
What else to say about me... I would describe myself as pretty relaxed. I love to go for a hike, have deep conversations, read and be surrounded by nature, animals and lovely people.
I am open for new experiences and eager to get to know more inspiring people on my way - as there are so many chances of mutual and cultural enrichment when you experience moments with others :)
For me, the couchsurfing community is a perfect way to do all this and hopefully make some friends along the way :)
Aaaand as you are reading this right now:
I wish you a wonderful and happy day! ☀️
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I love travelling a lot, discovering new places. Also, I love the vibe of couchsurfing, to travel somewhere, but have a feeling of home at the same time - to welcome and be welcomed by strangers, no matter where you are in the world.
Couchsurfing is a great opportunity for me to meet interesting people from different cultures/backgrounds/states of mind/... and hopefully make some friends along the way :)
