About Me
CURRENT MISSION
To meet, and share experiences with as many people from as many countries as possible.
ABOUT ME
I was born and raised in Nashville, TN, graduated with a B.S. in Psychology from UofTN (after attending UofToronto for 1.5 years). I have an affinity for mountaineering, mountain biking, skiing, having novel experiences, local businesses, black coffee, tea, farmers markets', anything powered by two wheels or two feet, and living the friluftsliv life (Scandinavian concept of open-air living which is the enjoyment of anything outdoors in a non-competitive and non-motorized way)
My lifelong passion is music and traveling (obv), but most recently I've just been really enjoying everything to do with the Outdoors. I moved to Colorado in Jan 2023 to attend school full-time, and by May 2025 I will have a double degree in Outdoor Education & Outdoor Recreation Leadership, with a path to move to Norway to pursue a Master's in Tourism and Sustainability Studies.
I love learning anything new, figuring out how things work, and exploring secular Buddhism, Stoicism, and expanded state of consciousness.
PHILOSOPHY
Begin at once to live and count each separate day as a separate life. -- Seneca
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I'm just getting back into after a several year hiatus. My current roommate is a CS ambassador, and we would love to host soon (still getting the house together after moving in).
Other than that, I just love to meet other people and explore with them when able.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
Met wonderful people who shared different perspectives, cultural attitudes, and life lessons with me -- specifically in Western Europe and at CS meetups, but I've been fortunate enough to host people in the past when I lived in Austin, TX.
Interests
Ever since moving to Colorado (Jan 2023), I have truly been exploring all the outdoors opportunities I can. I live in a small town of less than 3000 people, and have endless outdoor pursuits, especially mountain biking, skiing (Nordic, Backcountry, and Alpine).
I do the 2 hour drive to Denver on occasion, if not much else to go to the occasional concert as I love hearing new music, and appreciating it any way I can.

Authors: Cal Newport, e.e. Cummings, Shel Silverstein, Oliver Sacks.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
-- All of my extended solo trips.
-- 2012 (5 week backpacking trip across Spain, Italy, Switzerland, Germany, Netherlands, France, England)
-- 2013 (4 week, 4500 mile motorcycle trip across 15 states in the US)
--2023 (7 week backpacking trip across Portugal, Spain, Greece, Turkey, Bulgaria, North Macedonia, Serbia, Hungary, Slovakia, Austria, and Belgium).
-My first flight in a plane EVER was in a single engine plane over the Grand Canyon. At 13, it was an awe-inspring flight to see the expanse of the Canyon.
