Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I want to see the authentic side of the countries I'm travelling through, not just the Lonely Planet recommended sites. What better way to see what a country or town has to offer than from the real experts- those who live, work, eat and play there?

I am constantly reading, writing and generally trying to become a more learned person. I watch a lot of films and often analyse them in great depth. I love to cook, whilst always trying to learn new recipes, tips and skills in the kitchen.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Went on a road trip through Israel and Jordan with 3 strangers. This took me to two world heritage sites, with nights spent sleeping on two separate beaches, 12 hours hiking through Petra, a run in with Jordanian border staff and eventually lead to my first couchsurfing encounter, hosting (who is now) a very dear friend.

Teach, Learn, Share

In my career as a journalist I am constantly searching and longing to learn more. From there it's my duty to pass this knowledge onto others who might want to read it. This is both the driving force behind my writing and travelling, to learn and share as many moments with as many people as possible.

What I Can Share with Hosts

A clean and helpful house guest, wanting to soak up and learn as much about your culture as possible. I am also a great hand in the kitchen, who would love nothing more than to have a new home recipe added to my collection.
