About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To explore the best the US has to offer! Traveling from San Diego all up along the coast, East into Yellowstone, then down through Colorado to Austin and New Orleans. Then..
Mexico!!! Looking building up a health and fitness vlog along the way, hitting as many national parks as possible for inspiration and amazing settings :D

ABOUT ME

I'm a nature loving Kiwi at the core. As a health and fitness coach back home in Mairangi Bay, I've got life pretty sweet, so I like to get into the nitty gritty when I go exploring overseas. Music (especially live), sports, history, art, nature (again), and all things magical and magnificent get me going. Always down for adventures, always super peaceful. Vegan, but not a dick about it :D

I love to learn about other people's history and culture, hosting travelers wherever possible and trading stories over brews.

PHILOSOPHY

Take every opportunity to create something beautiful! Do unto others as you'd have done unto yourself too, of course. Time is the most valuable thing we have, so how we spend it and who we spend it with should be of the highest consideration. As such, I'll always do my best to make the most of my own time, and give those who share their time with me as much love and fun as possible!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I haven't been so active on Couchsurfing recently as I haven't travelled outside of hostels or friend's houses during my recent trips. This time, I'm hoping to meet as many awesome co-surfers as possible. A spot in my pad back in Auckland will always be reciprocated for those generous enough to welcome me :D

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
My girlfriend and I stayed on a canal-boat in Amsterdam in 2014. The 'captain' of the ship was a pretty extreme character, but we all survived happily in the close-quarters (even with the surprise dumpster-diving missions) :P
Looking forward to hosting many travelers from home and all over the world!!

Interests

Travel, adventure, culture-shocks, cooking/food, listening to music, practicing guitar, sport, animals, fitness, meditation, homeopathy, and all things good n fun! I'm all about the positive, the natural, and the educational.

Music, Movies, and Books

Any fine tunes not murdered by radio. Books: Mostly non-fiction, musicians' autobiographies and the like. Still, I loved The Alchemist, Catcher in the Rye, Keith Richard's 'Life', Curious Incident of the Dog in The Night Time, Harry Potter, and tons more.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Hitch-hiking around NZ (south-island especially) and Australia was fairly amazing and sketchy at times. This trip around the States is gonna top the list for sure though!

Skydiving in Taupo, snowboarding in Oslo, caving in Waitomo, rock climbing, and running barefoot marathons are other big hits.

Teach, Learn, Share

Happy to share stories and any skills desirable! Health and fitness is my game, but culture and philosophy are my favourite talking points. If you can teach me anything, I'm all ears! I love to learn.

What I Can Share with Hosts

My health and fitness expertise and my love of cooking are probably the most valuable things I can share. That isn't to say it's always amazing, but it's always tasty and nutritious as f*ck. I'll ALWAYS return the hosting-favor too whenever possible, as life is the best thing to share!

Countries I’ve Visited

Australia, China, England, Fiji, Netherlands, Norway, Thailand, Viet Nam

Countries I’ve Lived In

New Zealand
