I live and work on a small island on the west coast of Canada, where the woods are thick with tall trees and ferns and the mountains run straight into the water. I run adventure programs for kids at a summer camp there and I manage the property and make music in the winter. I'm interested in big ideas about meaning, happiness, reality, love, God, etc., but I'm also deeply interested in other people and what they care about.

I'm on Couchsurfing because my brother Richard told me it was great! We're travelling to Portugal for a week and I love the idea of staying in someone's home while visiting a new place.

I love teaching. One thing I can teach anyone about is music. I love learning - about almost anything, but specifically I love learning languages and I'm trying to learn some Portuguese right now! So anything you're willing to teach me about Portuguese would be interesting.
