About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Travel, Write, Explore, and Conquer

ABOUT ME

I’m a musician, teacher, and chef. I write songs, teach ESL and guitar, and work as a sous chef at a Lebanese restaurant.

Besides music, I love hiking, forest bathing, cycling, yoga, and craft beers! I'm very much into being creative with other people and trying to make a difference in this world!

PHILOSOPHY

It's not always the destination but the journey it takes to get there. Carpe diem!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I love meeting new people through couch-surfing. It's the best way to travel, and I love helping out people when they are traveling as well. I've gone to CS potlucks and I love the immediate connection that you feel when you meet a fellow couch-surfer. If you host me, or surf my couch, I will cook you a damn good meal and will play you a song if you want to hear one!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've crashed with some real cool people throughout the U.S.: Asheville, Nashville, Memphis, Austin, San Antonio, Santa Fe, Tucson, LA, San Francisco, Portland, Seattle, Boulder, and Denver. I've also couch-surfed in Europe. Couch-surfers are such cool, worldly, open-minded people!

One of my favorite couch-surfing stories was when I went to Dublin, Ireland. I was invited to stay at the "Magic House" which was a house full of awesome Brazilian guys, a few of which were magicians, hence the name. Since I was living in Japan at the time and my profile said that I lived in Japan, my host thought I was Japanese. When I arrived at the house they were preparing a sushi dinner for me. We all had a good laugh, and when I realized that I was eating sushi with a bunch of Brazilians in Ireland, I realized that it was quite the unique conglomeration of cultures! That's couchsurfing for you!
