ABOUT ME

I grew up in the Midwest interested in music and art. I went to school for painting, small-scale jewelry/metal work. I enjoyed traveling abroad in my art program to Italy,Spain, and the U.K. After graduating from Iowa State I became active in the local music/art scene in my town. I'm looking to travel again and open up some new experiences.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I organize music and art shows in my hometown and also give lectures at the university about my art. I like to paint pictures of my friends and family, and I like to encourage people in my community to get involved.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have had the pleasure of hosting a handful of people at my houses in Iowa. Since I was involved with 'DIY' music shows for a while, a lot of musicians needed a place to stay and they were wonderful company. When I was traveling the U.S. with my sister and girlfriend, we stayed at two or three different peoples' places via courchsurfing and it was great; we always felt at home, and most of the people we stayed with took us out and showed us around the city or town they live in. I've had a good experience with couchsurfing.

Interests

I like to write songs, hang out with new people, play shows, paint pictures, and cook tasty food.
