Overview
About Me
As far as my own history goes, I have spent most of my life living on the East Coast of Australia around the Sydney region, surfing the waves and becoming educated. Once I had finished University I went straight into the work force, and after a few years I began to realize that the world has so much more to offer than the 9 to 5. So, I left Australia at the start of 2013 to embark on the adventure of a lifetime.
I am easy going, polite and low maintenance. I don't judge, I love to laugh, I love hearing people's stories and am quite partial to a beer and some "big talk" (talk about big things; space, humanity, or even just good books and movies).
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I am on couch surfing to give myself the best possible opportunity to meet new people and see as many new perspectives as I can.
Interests
I enjoy most board sports, but have a particular infatuation with surfing having grown up on the sunny beaches of the Central Coast of Australia. I follow the AFL (Australian Football League), in particular the Collingwood Football Club (for those of you who know who they are, don't judge me). My love of movies and books goes to the extent that I want to write a book or screenplay one day, and have been honing my writing skills at every available opportunity.

Music, Movies, and Books
My taste in music is usually scattered across the realms of electro and rock, but am partial to exploration of the borders of my taste. I am listening to the soundtrack of Gattaca as I write this.
I find my taste in movies seems to align with the crit's taste, and I love the analysis that can come out of a cracking film, but I am also a big fan of the cult classics, the Wayne's Worlds and the Dazed and Confused's etc etc etc.
With books, I have recently made the switch from fiction to non, and have been getting into a lot of investigative journalist pieces. In my relaxed state, you will be hard pressed trying to separate me from my Kindle.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Abandoned every comfort, quit my job, sold up everything and thrown caution to the wind. Twice.
Teach, Learn, Share
I can speak Spanish and French at a conversational level and love practicing either when I can.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I love surfing with people and am a patient tutor, so if you have ever wanted a lesson my hand is in the air.
Also, I am a web developer. You need a website? I am your man. Even if its just a bit of Q & A about anything IT related, I am pretty confident I could steer you in the right direction.
I have been home brewing for the last couple of years, and while I am by no means an expert, if you were ever interested in doing it yourself, I have made pretty much every mistake you can make.
