About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To make myself a more well-rounded individual by taking myself out of my comfort zone and accepting all challenges

ABOUT ME

I am a really laid back guy. I like to have a good time, but nothing too crazy. I like to think of myself as the strong and silent type. I kind of come off as shy at first, but as soon as I get to know someone I open up.

PHILOSOPHY

Respect everyone who show respect to others. If someone is not doing anything wrong, they do not deserve to be hated or mistreated.

People should be judged by their actions not their appearances.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I got started using this site to find places to stay while traveling Russia. Now that I have my own apartment in the states, I've started to open up to the idea of hosting. I've already had my first Couchsurfing experience, and I'm willing to do it again!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have stayed with two different hosts when I lived in Russia and needed places to stay while traveling to Moscow from St. Petersburg. Both hosts were amazing and I got experience something that most people in the world will never get the chance to do.

Interests

I like to give myself a challenge. I study the Russian language, but I want to become a dentist. I have to juggle learning a foreign language while also preparing for dental school. I also like to be healthy by regularly going to the gym to workout and by playing volleyball. I'm a hockey fan and my favorite team is the Washington Capitals the NHL team of Washington DC in America.

Music, Movies, and Books

Movies:

- Moulin Rouge - One of the most creative movies I have ever seen.
- Team America: World Police - Explicit crude puppets... What's not to like?
- Batman Trilogy (2005-2012) – I cannot wait for the final film to come out!
- Juno - This quirky indie film really made an impression on me.
- Avatar - This is the first 3D movie I've seen that has actually made me lose my breathe in awe
- The Hangover - One of the greatest and unexpected comedies of all time.

Music: I am a pretty versatile guy. I don't like to settle with one genre.

- 311 - Hands down my favorite band of all time. I own all of their music.
- All Time Low - Been a fan since before they became famous.
- Maroon 5 - Being unique is an important quality for me. And no one has a voice like Adam Levine.
- Lady Gaga - Before anyone judges me, I acknowledge her music because in my opinion she has set a new standard for American pop music.
- Fall Out Boy - Even though they are no longer together, their music made my high school years.

Books: Not a big fan of reading, but I can respect a good novel when one comes my way.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Going to Russia twice in one year and getting to experience all of its seasons.

Teach, Learn, Share

I'm a well of information that's nowhere near full. All I want to do is learn and experience new things. I have no inhibitions towards helping and sharing my life stories with anyone who needs help and wants to listen to me.

Countries I’ve Visited

Canada, Czech Republic, Germany, Hungary, Ireland, Mexico, Poland, Russian Federation
